What should I expect during my massage session?

Your therapist will review your health history, discuss your goals for the session, and answer any questions you may have. You’ll be given privacy to undress to your level of comfort, and your therapist will leave the room while you prepare. The massage will be customized to your needs.

If clients shows sign of under influence or drugs or alcohol will result in termination of service.

Do I need to fully undress?

Not at all. You may undress only as much as you’re comfortable with. Many clients leave undergarments on, and massage can still be performed effectively. Some clients leave everything off. It's up to you. You'll be covered under the sheets and the only area exposed is where your therapist is working on. Your therapist will always use professional draping to ensure your privacy.

Will the massage hurt?

Massage should not be painful. Some techniques, like deep tissue, may cause mild discomfort, but your therapist will adjust pressure based on your feedback. Always speak up if you feel uncomfortable.

What are some massage aftercare tips?

To enjoy the full benefits of your session. After a massage it is commonly advised to stay hydrated and get plenty of rest. Avoid drinking caffeine and alcohol. Enjoy a nice healthy meal and stretch when needed. 

Can massage help with medical conditions?

Massage may help relieve muscle tension, stress, headaches, and certain chronic conditions. However, it is not a substitute for medical care. Always consult your physician for serious health concerns. Your answer here.

Can I get a massage if I’m pregnant?

Generally pregnant clients can book prenatal massage in their second and third trimesters. Unfortunately Ambrosia Massage is NOT offering prenatal massages at this time. For postpartum clients, it is important to listen to your body. Clients can typically get a postpartum massage as soon as you feel comfortable, which may be very soon after birth for a vaginal delivery, while a C-section delivery usually requires waiting 4-6 weeks for your incision to heal. However, you should always consult your doctor or midwife before your first massage, especially if you had a complicated delivery or have specific concerns

Should I tip my therapist?

Gratuities are never required but are always appreciated if you feel satisfied with your service. After your service, we appreciate your feedback and leave an honest review. This helps us improve our services.

How do i pay with cash?

Cash as a form is payment is accepted. Booking online required a 50% deposit of your selected service.  You can pay the other half in cash after your session. If you would like to pay cash for the whole amount, please call (828)468-8107 to set an appointment. 

How to checkout after your session?

After your massage, your therapist will step out so that you can get dressed. We ask that you wait in the room so that we can finalize the checkout process. This is where you'll pay for the other half of the amount for the service. You can also rebook during this time!

What is the right to termination?

Massage therapist at Ambrosia Massage have the right to refuse treatment, or to terminate a treatment in progress to protect their own safety and well-being.

Clients also have the right to terminate session. This will still result in full pay of session at check out. We ask if you have any needs or adjustment please communicate it with the therapist to ensure your comfortability.

Rules for youth clients

In North Carolina, you must be 18 years or older to receive a massage independently. For minors under 18, a parent or legal guardian must accompany them during the entire massage. Having a guardian there does not guarantee consent. If the youth client is uncomfortable with the massage that that time. rescheduling is possible.
